Key Responsibilities:
- Welding & Fabrication: Assist with mounting roll-off hoists, drop axles, and various assemblies using welding equipment.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to assemble and install components accurately.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand grinders, power tools, welding equipment, and torches for metal preparation and fabrication.
- Metal Joining: Join metal components and fabricated assemblies, ensuring high-quality and precision.
- Problem Solving: Assist team members in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets safety standards and high-quality production criteria.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
- Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication (previous heavy truck experience preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and schematics.
- Experience with power tools, welding torches, grinders, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently kneel, bend, squat, push, pull, and reach.
- Must be able to lift and move more than 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Must be able to get into and out of various vehicles without assistance.
- Must pass a DOT physical including drug screening.
